"The Mission of Dignity House Hospice is to assist individuals who reside in Lanark County, and are diagnosed

with life-limiting illnesses to live life as fully as possible while maintaining their dignity and comfort,

as well as to provide support to their families and loved ones."

Volunteers and Volunteering

 

Volunteers are essential to the success of the Dignity House Hospice. They are involved in every aspect of our organization and as an integral part of our interdisciplinary care team.

 

Now that the Day Hospice is operational, and later when the Residential Hospice Program becomes operational, we require volunteers in all of the following areas:

  • Complementary therapy programs

  • Administration

  • Client care

  • Fundraising programs

  • Gardening

  • Housekeeping

  • House maintenance

  • Kitchen help

  • Library and resources

  • Pet care and visiting

  • Reception

  • Snow removal
